For those who don’t know tell us a little bit about yourself.
My name is L. Diamante the diamond Donya.. The ‘L’ stands for Lushy. Diamante means ‘diamond’. I was born in Bangkok & raised on the island of Guam ( La Isla de Ladrones, ‘The Island of Thieves’ as Magellan would call it). I do nails. (KIM HO NAILS!) I do freelance graphic design to pay bills. I founded Lurk Hard, it’s just another ADD project for me now. I suffer from mild anxiety and ADD. I’m jack of all trades, master of none. Nothing but a one trick pony. I fell off before I got on, but everyday I’m hu$tlin.

Which tattoo was your first? Why did you get it?
My 1st tattoo is a pin-up version of myself on my right arm. I got it a week before I graduated from high school in 2003, the same year I relocated to the Bay Area, California & became a San Francisco transplant. I decided I wanted a tattoo instead of going to my senior prom.

Which tattoo would you say is the closest to your heart? Why?
My Crack Cocaine tattoo. The Chanel CC’s. I glorified crack cocaine with that one. It represents the grimepiece side of me: Late nite lurk missions, designer drugs, huffing paint, dirty hands doing dirt. Lurk-lavish.

What would you say is your motivation for getting your tattoos?
Each tattoo I have is motivation for my motility. I’ve got dollar signs & diamonds on me but it don’t mean that I’m a gold digger. Diamonds are the strongest thing in the world, the only thing that can cut a diamond is another diamond. A diamond can withstand more heat without being melted. Diamond comes from the Greek word Adamas, which means “Invincible”. That’s why I’m the diamond Donya. I’ve got this saying, “Count your blessings as riches, never your riches as blessings.” For me it means, “Don’t make the money move you, you move the money.” I’m blessed with the life I live, a strong family, great friends, and lots of amazing opportunities.

Which tattoo would you say hurt the worst? Why?
My ‘Bo’ tattoo on my back. On some 2pac, ‘Letter 2 My Unborn Child’ type shit. “Those things which are precious are saved only by sacrifice.” Pain is truly psychological, & I was emotionally stirred when I got this tattoo.

If you could choose any tattoo artist to tattoo you, who would you choose? And Why?
Henry Lewis. The Everlasting crew. I’m looking for a new tattoo artist! Once I’m yours, I stay loyal. Plz. inquire within.

What type of tattoo or what trend of tattoo are you not interested in?
Tribal tattoos are not the biz. You could be the hottest / coolest dude, if you have a tribal tattoo = disqualified.

What advice would you give to to someone getting their first tattoo?
Get something that means something to you. Your tattoo has to be something you’d live & die for, since it’s on your body forever. & ‘Tipping’ is not a city in China.

Random:
If you could be a rapper, what would be your Hip-Hop name be? And what would be the name of your first single?
My rap name would probably be Lurkdat-Twerkdat. I’d rap about lurking, twerking, & making money. I’d like to make music that would empower & motivate female hustlers (rippers, riders, dancers, call girls, escorts, e-babes, I see you ladies!). My first single would probably be titled, ‘Twerk Time!’ On some booty bass 2-Live / Gucci Crew type shit.

What do you see yourself doing in the next 5 years?
Probably doing a pedicure on some old lady. I’d already have my bachelor’s degree in graphic design way before then. I’d like to be working alongside the people I look up to. I’d probably just be chillin’ at home on my green couch drinking a Kombucha. Or on a plane flying somewhere exotic to escape the blogosphere.
