84Area.com is a new Indie-powered blog based in Atlanta, GA. It is the brainchild of Sheldon T.: graphic designer, music-junkie, and all-around nerd. After gaining the experience of being a free-lance blogger on other sites, it was only a matter of time before he would venture out on his own to do his own thing.

The blog spotlights the following: independent culture, the unknown folks out there, and the other topics mainstream blogs won’t give a chance or pay attention to. This is what makes 84Area.com different we are for the community. On the blog, you will find new music from a lot of independent artists that are not just from Atlanta.

The blog displays art from all over the United States and we make it 84Area’s goal to make music always available for download. With 84Area.com, you can engage in interviews with: musicians, photographers and artists of other mediums, read updates of the hottest events that you should know about, and catch reviews of released mixtapes and albums. Since Sheldon T. is a fan of body modification, a monthly feature known as “ALTx” was created. This is a feature focused on the alternative community of tattooed folk and folks with body modifications. While 84area.com grew, the site has received massive amounts of positive feedback and encouragement from patrons, fans, and in-and-out viewers.

Being “a breath of fresh air” in a massive media based world where celebrity gossip is the popular source for content, not many blogs cover the independent and underground; that’s what 84area.com is here to do.
