Floco Torres – The Anti-Valentine’s Day Color is STILL Green Mixtape

Yeah so Floco Torres is not someone new to this music scene. Definitely one of the new upcoming artists in the Georgia area that’s making a name for himself. He gets mad respect and love from his community as an local artist. Out there doing shows and providing good quality music for his fans.

I can remember the first time I heard him back in 2009 and was astonished. Its was over a unfinished collaboration produced by Bobby Drake of The Beat Geeks featuring another well respected artist from Georgia named Al King. In which you’ll find that both artists, Floco Torres and Al King, do a lot of collaborations together. Both the biz knees and both won The 11th Hour Readers Choice Award in 2009 for Best Local Album of The Yearfor his Psycadelphia Album. Congrats to you both!

Into the The Anti-Valentines Day Color is STILL Green Review:

Floco gives a nice variety of his own remix to songs featuring other indie artists such as Al King, Laura, City Council, N.E.R.D., and Eleisha Eagleon and I must say it was very entertaining from beginning to end. He seems to be one rapper that feels the rhythm in the beat, gets his concept and let the words flow to song. It seems easy for him because it sounds so natural. And as an artist you have to know how to intermingle with the beats provided and give it more life. Especially for like rappers because you all are so worried about rhyming, having punchlines or putting too much thought in it and yelling that its sounds like a bunch of blah at the end.

Floco seems to know the strategic way of just letting the words come out freely and keep it simple. I mean because in time everything else will come. He obviously demonstrated that in this album, especially in “Cry Me a River”, “No Damn Good for Me”, “One Bad Apple”, and “Use Somebody”. Mind you that those are 4 different genres as well. So, that shows his versatility and that his talent is not limited. Plus it goes back to my statement where I described that he “feels the rhythm in the beat, gets his concept and let the words flow”. Floco Torres is not to be underestimated for sure. Seriously not every many artists can do that without it sounding off or they’re out of place.

Any who continuing along. So, when the first track that played with exception of the creative 4 second intro, guess whose the featuring artist? The one and only Al King on the “Ms. Pop Girl Remix“. I likes this joint! The beat was dope and their collabos has been dope thus far and they haven’t let me down. It’s a easy listen about a guy who is in love with this but their from 2 different worlds girl. He seems to not exist to her but he still wants her.

HOT SONG and A MUST LISTEN!

Well, the entire album is because I think you will enjoy is as much as I did. To keep up with what’s what and new with Floco, join him on his website HiimFlocoTorres.ning.com and follow him on Twitter: @FlocoTorres.

5 stars out of 5.

But you’re the only girl I’ve chased this long, by far
Get it? I’m miles behind and that’s by car
Its ironic that you used to be a track star
And Im an ATM tryna pull my Mac card
