Download: Jason Caesar feat. Mach Five, Mums FP – Vicodin & Violins.

Greetings all!

GreedMont Park x Mach Five presents Playground Volume 1 is next on deck to review and I’m loving the cover. It’s a cartoony artwork with a bigger (fat) kid on a seesaw with 3 littler kids hanging on barely on the top of the other end. Funny and cute playground concept. Not sure whom the artist was but whomever it is, did an awesome job and seems to do all the cover art for GreedMont. So, I wouldn’t doubt if it was someone within the group.

This is my first time listening to anything from Mach Five or GreedMont Park. So, my ears are new to them. They had some nice joints and good production. The artists weren’t all that bad either. So, below are just some tracks that stood out to me from this 20 track mix-tape:

“Check His Pulse” – Mach Five, Tuki of Hollyweerd: The beat is knocking on this track. Sound like something Lil Wayne would drop on. However, in my opinion, the snippet used as the background noise should have been blended a little better. Instead of it sounding like it was just plugged in. You can hear the cut off point. Other than that, it was hot and Mach Five & Tuki of Hollyweerd did their thing.

“Dope Boy” – FatKidsBrotha, Lontastic: Okay. Fat Kids Brother & Lontastic was a nice cameo and the production was hot to bump in the club. The bass and the 808s were booming. “Riiiggght”. Laugh Out Loud. The chorus was very catchy too and the artists nailed their parts.

“Pussy Poppin” – Donnis, Mach Five: I don’t know this joint wasn’t doing it for me. It was pretty boring plus dude that flowed first sound like he was put on repeat. Even the Wayne sample got aggravating after while. Didn’t listen too far into the track.

“I’m The Shit” – A.ware, Young Lyxx: For 2 minutes this was pretty cool track. I like it. Nothing really bad about it. Its a nice beat. It sound like it loops but it doesn’t. There’s just no dramatic change in it. A.ware & Young Lyxxx are 2 talented dudes.

“Nasty” – Le Sexoflex: Okay, it took me a minute to figure out what was going on with this song. The way the entire mixtape flowed, this track caught me off guard. So, dude was talking and I was like WHAT?! and then girl comes in and says “doo doo hole” OMG! Make a fist and stick it where???!!! Make your who come???!!! “We Nasty” Um yeah! “We Gross” Heck Yeah! You didn’t lie there missy! This song is funny but they’re so serious. Creative and Intersting. I don’t know yall be the judge.
*If you want to take a listen, “Nasty” is the last track on the mixtape (Track 20).

So, with the last review on “Nasty” being said, the mix-tape got very interesting towards the end. There’s was a mix of stuff I liked and some I didn’t too much care for. Shouts out to Rookie for providing the beats! Good stuff my dude!

Overall, I give this mix-tape a 3.2 out of 5 stars.
